The WAPI Governing Council have elected to host the 2008 WAPI Annual Banquet on October 25th 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Central Birmingham a favourite Venue due to its central location, ease of access from around the UK AND for our Overseas Guests alike! PLUS a Great City for the Ladies - to explore and shop!! Numerous attractions, great restaurants and nightlife, for those who might make it a long weekend WAPI Members & their Guests, Members of the other Associations and Non Members in Practice are all very welcome. The Banquet will program commence at 7 pm - with a Champagne Reception followed by a four course Banquet Dinner With all the usual trimmings and quality wines. A Guest Speaker (to be announced) followed by the Investigator of the Year Awards and Presentation Ceremony. A top class Band will then “work away” until 1 am for Dancing, with a short Intermission for our usual Charity Draw Results. There are three very special Awards presented by the Association to WAPI Members nominated and determined by the Awards Committee, these being for: WAPI International Investigator of the Year 2008 Nominees must have demonstrated a wide international profile in their Professional life & have represented WAPI and the Sector in a positive light on an international basis, and/or achieved a significant success in a high profile investigation generating a positive image of the Sector UK Investigator of the Year 2008 Nominees must have demonstrated a wide national profile in their Professional life & have represented WAPI and the Sector in a positive light on a national basis, and/or achieved a significant success in a high profile investigation generating a positive image of the Sector Best Newcomer of the Year 2008 Nominees must have demonstrated both professional ability and compliance in their day to day activities over the initial stages of their career or newly formed Agency, and/or achieved a significant success in a high profile investigation generating a positive image of the Sector Questions & Answers: Who may be Nominated ? Any WAPI Member of any category in good standing. Who may Nominate ? Anyone may nominate a suitable candidate, by emailing the Committee with supporting evidence. You do not need to be a WAPI Member to nominate a Candidate. Who decides? The Awards Committee select the most deserving Candidate from the Nominations, and the Governing Council will consider and endorse the eventual Winners. Who are the 2008 Awards Committee ?
